For our cars, It all depends on the design of the wheel, so there is not a specific backspacing that will work on a specific wheel size. You will need to contack the wheel manufacturer or a distributor for that wheel and ask them specifically if THAT wheel will fit OUR cars. and if they can't tell you.....I wouldn't be dealing with them.

I too have a V6....the same thing goes for the info ask above, BUT our calipers don't stick out near as much. so we have more wheels available and more sizes because of that.

I am finding some different stuff out on them and just want to make sure I order the right ones-
Rear Track:
V6 - 64.1" / 1628mm
V8 - 63.7" / 1618mm
front is identical between V8 and V6

As far as dealing with a sales man at a distributor- sorry I would rather know what offset before I listen to some kid selling wheels and then have them not be right. This is way I’m asking. And two I think it would be great info to have here at this site.

I run an off-road forum that specializes in tech support and exact info like this- just hoping there was someone here- maybe one of the vendors that can help out.

for the simple reason you stated......for any specific size.....you can not say exactly what the offset will be. what will work on one design, won't work on another for ths same size wheel.

and I am NOT recommending you call a WHEEL SHOP and talk to some KID....I am talking aboit a DISTRIBUTOR or the Manufacturer. Not someone at a Wheel Shop.

and as far as 4 x 4's go or off-road cars/trucks go.....its a lot easier to give out that info......offset/backspacing on our cars have a lot more things to take into account, such as the brakes. And like I already mentioned, not every wheel of a specific size and offset/backspacing will fit.....it all depends on the design of the wheel.

Use Corvette C6 Z06 Front Wheels. They are 18X9.5 with a 40mm offset and clear the rear brakes. I'm Running Nitto 305's and it works fine.

They are also 5x120.65mm (4.75") bolt pattern. Camaros are 5x120mm.

I know it can be done. But is it recommended? Longevity? Balance issues? Vibration?

Apparently 4x4 trucks no longer have brakes. A mystical force stops the vehicle when you tap the brake pedal
No harm inteded lol

Just like we tried to tell the guy that put that table in and ask.....you can't, did you READ THE THREAD and the answer we give him?? ....well you could fill it out....but it would be about meaningless, as the offset will change depending on the design of the wheel. what offset works for any specific size will depend of the wheels design.

Having wheels made - I wanted more of a lip, they said it would be 1/8 in from the caliper in the rear. Do you think this is too close?
