Glad you went with the 1350 4" aluminum DS combo.

A lot of people think Carbon Fiber DS, but a lot of high hp cars have shredded those.

Mine has one....so that should test it out nicely. Personally I am with you....Ron and I have gone round and round about this carbon shaft as I am simply not a believer but we basically got it for free as a package with the RPM trans and both he and Frank at DSS think it's up to the task.

I am skeptical but willing to try it.

Cool deal...

I'll be following along with that and wish you good luck.... I won't change even if it works for you but I'm certainly curious...

WooHoo...

I'm back to fast browsing... We had our yard aerated and they punched a hole in the cable... Guy came by, replaced the cable and we are back online...I've been tapping into a unknown router near me that is unsecured and it had a weak signal, and was constantly dropping offline...

I was 'ing the 1350 DS yoke choice.

I've never used a CF driveshaft so I wont speculate on them. they seem to be doing well (there's been a few instances of adhesion issues on the flanges, but only a couple early builds).

and should anything fail, I firmly believe that Frank will be right there to make it better, stronger, lighter, etc

So, back to a little progress...

We found a new trans mount that would serve our purposes and then had to build an adapter to go from the existing cross member to the new trans mount location...

It's beefy to say the least... It matches the size and strength of our new motor mounts...

One pic is of it prior to installation and one with the trans on it...This of course factored in the pinion angles as we built it... The new drive shaft ought to be ready tomorrow, though it wasn't promised until Thursday... which means I'm looking for it about a week after I leave for work... J/K... I have no doubt it will be ready no later than Thursday....
