Removal of Dealer Decal

What have you guys used to get these off. This feels like a rubber sticker. Seems like it should come right off, but not sure.

Why do midwest and east coast dealers always stick that stuff on?

Heat it up with a blow dryer then use fishing line to get behind it using a sawing motion to remove it. Then use some goo gone as others have suggested.

A little heat and some VERY carefully use your fingernail to try to get it off. Use a bit of goo gone and be prepared to polish the area. This will cause scratches. If you don't have a DA polisher buy a finishing polish and use a microfiber towel or a foam applicator to go over the area.

The last couple of new cars I have bought, I specifically told my sales guy that the dealer sticker better not be installed, or the body shop will have to remove it while I watch. They usually listen, especially before the checks are written.

The last time I saw one of these on my new car I asked the dealer to remove the decal and pulled their license plate cover before driving the car off the lot.

I know it is probably too late for that option, but the other posts have you covered on how to remove the decal now that it is in your driveway.

You can use dental floss is well, wrap it a couple times around your fingers, the wax on the dental floss helps protect the paint.

This is a flat vinyl sticker. It doesn't require any floss or fishing line because it's not using the 3M VHB tape like the Badges, that is much tougher and needs to be taken off with line. Get a corner up with your nail and then slowly pull while you're heating it with a hairdryer. That's it , you won't scratch anything, you can go straight to Goo gone and then wax. I've done many of these.....

Exactly... and I wouldn't even bother with a hair dryer.

But definitely don't leave it on there any longer.
