Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX or the Kenwood Excelon DNX893S?

I plan to upgrade my BA system for JL Audio's ZR 650 CSi's in the front and the 6.5 inch Coaxial C5 650x's in the rear powered by the XD 400 amp, Im currently running a 12W7 of of the 1000 slash amp. I plan to also upgrade the current radio, I have not decided if I will go with Ofer's plug in play MyLink or go with the new RadioPro PAC system. Which receiver is better and why, I'm leaning towards the Pioneer system. Any complaint's or suggestions with my planned audio up grade? Thanks as always guys, this forum is the best!

I hear ya. I just bought the 7200NEX with the Scosche kit. I think what really sets the NEX systems apart is how the GPS also have live traffic updates to re-route you if there any accident/delay/etc

they both are good units. what i would recommend is to o to a store that may have both and play with them. you may find you you like one more than the other. some people like the UI of one better than the other.

Head units today - decisions usually boil down to personal user preferences. One can pair 2 phones, one has great GPS, one has X feature, the other has a Y feature. As others have stated, you need to compare the features list side by side and decide which ones are important to you personally.

Warranties are overrated in car audio, especially in non-speaker applications. Purchase using AMEX (or other CC) that offers performance guarantees and double OEM warranty after finding a good vendor that backs their merchandise and save a mountain of cash.

Like stated above, the pioneer has a ton of great features and the kenwood looks more aesthetically pleasing.

I don't have any experience with the Kenwood, my AVH-X5800BHS will pair with two cell phones but only has one usb port which now is connected to the usb port in the box next to the driver which has a flash drive in it with my music, leaving no spare unless I remove the drive. But then I never had a spare before.

Are you still happy with it? Issues?

I was just looking but with the PAC unit! Was between the Kenwood dnx773s unit as well but think I am going with the 7200NEX given the apps you can load.

Did you splice the factory wires or use some adapter? Any tips?

I am prob going to order this week.

Thanks!

Anybody using the AVIC-8200NEX or the AVIC-8201NEX with a backup camera?
If so, do the factory backup sensors still work as well?

Really liking the 8200/8201 interface, much more iphone'esque than the kenwood. But, that is just personal preference. About ready to pull the trigger on the 8201, but, haven't seen an answer to the backup sensor item in the threads. (Although, might have missed it.)

If you are interested in the install you can follow it on instagram http://www.instagram.com/rdsesq
