So, I went to Kerrville Texas on Friday and met with Pete from Pedders. We corner weighted the car. When all the interior is back in, the car will be within five lbs side to side on both the front and the rear. I would say the install height adjustment was spot on....

We also did the alignment on the car for the high speed runs this coming weekend.

Major Props to Pete of Pedders and to Eloy of Ken Stopel Ford.

List of items to be completed prior to the Texas Mile Runs....

Purchase numbers for the car... 2363 is my car number for this event.
Swap the hood out for the vented hood.
Install the front sway bar.
Fill the nitrous bottles.
Mount the chute to the frame and run the release cable.
Fabricate and install the chute release.
Re-install the interior, passenger seat, rear seat...
Have steel valve stems mounted on the front wheels.
Fabricate some filler plates for the front of the car to improve air flow across the front of the car.
Remove the mirrors from the doors.
Remove the blade spoiler and install the factory lip spoiler.
Get all the groceries that may be needed for the weekend. Drinks etc...

List to be added to as things come up...

That list is going to keep you busy this week but it sure is nice to have the best of the best helping get it ready...

I had them installed on the rear wheels when I got the new tires, now it's time to add them on the front...The crazy thing is they are the same price as the rubber ones when installing new tires...

Yes, get the high pressure steel valve stems. These are often overlooked and the cause of problems. Sounds like you are just about ready for the mile R. Can't wait to hear about the adrenaline buzz from this one...

Saturday looks great... I'll be doing the licensing runs on Friday, up to around 195 or so so not to bothersome there... It's the 200+ runs that the cooler weather will be nice...

Thanks B.

I'm excited yet not nervous about this event. I'm sure the nervousness will come but the easy licensing runs ought to relieve some of that. My first run will be a controlled run between 145 and 165 following all the rules... Each licensing run after that is progressively faster...up to an AA license that allows you to run what you brung as long as it meets tech....

We're going to need a new combined Fast Thread for 1/2 mile and 1 mile best times.
