Normal discussion was over once you started to call me "shot", which doesn't even make sense, and starting whining about seats you have never even sat in...that is what you call pathetic. This is a forum of Camaro lovers, we should all be on the same page, I don't need to deal with that...sorry.

I don't have to sit in them to know they'll be not much better than non-recaros. |

Well unlike you I HAVE sat in both of them, and I can tell you that you are incorrect...the regular SS seats offer nearly no lateral support, you slide around on track much to easily. The Recaros will fix that issue if you actually track the car. Pictures do not tell the whole story...

2017 2SS will have optional Recaros. I don't see why not. Just need to get the AQJ seats listed for 2SS

You fail to understand the difference. They are different seats. Many things have to be changed to make a seat such as the 1LE/ZL1 Recaros. These are expensive, likely over $2K ea. Why? If I told you why, you would probably not believe me anyway. Go look at what a Recaro costs with Power functions and get back to us. Then find a Recaro with Airbags, Occupant sensors, SPS sensors, OPDS units and get back to us again.....(here is a hint - we will never see you again) - Your Friendly Automotive Seat Manufacturing Guy (18 years) -Production Team Lead -Quality (10 years)

Why are you so salty? Nice try though it was a solid effort. I'd put the Mustang Recaro's or 5th Gen in my SS any day lol, but I won't because that's dumb as shit and these 6th gen recaro's are sad. You can start by explaining why they needed a Sparco seat in the ZL1 just to go around the ring, if these seats are so good. I feel bad for you son, 18 years making seats and these pass as being acceptable to you. |

Really dude... the bolsters are literally twice as deep as the stock SS seats and the shape is very different. You can even see that the mid bolster is deeper than the one in the Mustang... the seat starts curving at the white stripe and there's more forward facing area than the Mustang Recaro. I've seen them at the last NY auto show and they look pretty bad ass in person, when you can actually see how deep they are. Lets reserve final judgement until we all actually have a chance to sit in them. On a positive note, I do love the idea of Vette's competition seats. I'll measure how wide they are next time I have the chance. I really want deeper bolsters, but don't want to lose the heating and ventilation functions.
