NY NJ CT SI MEGA MEET IDEAS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Im starting this thread to see if there is any interest in a real tri-state meet or perhaps our own Camaro fest type of thing for those of us who would like to attend the C5 Atl fest but cant due to family and work obligations. Any suggestions on a central location or anything would be greatly appreciated. We can do it anytime this season. We are also going to be planning some whole day cruises to maybe upstate NY or any other interesting location. The goal of this is to get as many of us together in one place as possible. Just cool people and sick cars. Im thinking once a year to get the whole tri state Camaro family together would be really cool.

I'm in... central location is key. most central for NYC, Long Island, NJ, CT is probably queens somewhere. lets throw around some ideas. intrepid or something in Manhattan would be cool but hard to put together i think.

Cunningham park?

A mega tri-state meet would be an awesome idea. Like others have said, central location is going to be key, especially for people like me at the northern end of CT.

the intrepid I think is impossible but man what a great picture that would be Queens would work its kind of the center of the tri state,we might have to get permits and all as we are growing fairly quick. well lets see whats a 45 min to and hour ride from most places ? im not familar with cunningham park where is that ?

cunningham park is in fresh meadows. near st. francis prep high school. right off LIE. they have multiple lots. I know gto guys get together on thursday evenings.
I'd go anywhere within 45 min- 1 hr drive.

It has to be a place with facilites Bathrooms and food How about bear mountain i know they have a show up there wed nights from what i hear 1000+ cars so they must have room for everyone i go anywhwere at any distance

Bear Mtn would be nice and central for everyone north of NYC. It's close to N-NJ, S-NY, SW-CT and it's a nice cruise up from NYC. Not sure what it would take to rent out a area for a meet...I could look into that. There's also FDR park in westchester, which you can reserve an area...don't think it cost anything. Has restrooms, playgrounds for the kids, BBQ's etc. Plenty of room.

BTW, the wednesday cruise at Bear Mtn is great...it gets HUGE by the end of the summer. Starts in May.

iam not proud but i allmost went to jail at FDR state park then again anyone would if they got caught doing 75mph at a 5mph zone i was 17 young and stupid i guess lol but it is a really nice park and not too far
