Mickey Thompson ET Street R. Comes in 305/45R18 and 305/45R17. Will fit on a 17x9.5" wheel. Looks to be better than the old ET Street and almost as good as the ET Street Pro.
http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/s...reetRETStreetR

Should be available late next month or early May.

Just got some weld 18s delivered have a couple questions .The stock lugs nuts are fairly tight in the hole is that what most are using ? Or is there a thinner walled design ? Running 18x10s in the back with Nitto NT05r 305/45/18 which are 28.9 Dia. For the fronts I have 18x7 and I am thinking of running Goodyear Assurance 225/60/18 Which are Speed rated as H and 28.6 Dia. Does anyone see any problems with running this setup or do you think there is a better front option ? I have also found where I live no one can balance lug centric wheels . So if anyone has any place in ohio they trust let me know . Thanks Btw way great looking wheels mlee .

Nice, what height are the tires MLee?

----

Race Star 17x9.5s, looking like mid-May. As a dealer I have pre-ordered a few sets but with the understanding that I'm generally understanding the pricing from what they told me.

Advertising says they should be 29"
Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Tire
P305/45R18(29'' x 11.5'' - 18'')

It really works out to like 28.7"

Nice! Im currently researching a setup for straight line as my road course setup is no good for going fast and straight. Boost controller helps but i need better.

I like this weld setup but was thinking 17s vs 18". I have the upgraded FE4 OE control arms that use the ZL1 rear sway. Do the 17" Welds absolutely require notching? If so, how much approx. I dont want to compromise the integrity of the arms for the road course. Im probably about 1.4 in lower than stock with Pedders supercars.

Or would the 18" not hinder performance enough to deal with trying to run 17" wheels

Thanks

Any issues with the big brakes up front? I have the CTS-V fronts?

I saw so many doing great on 20's that I didn't want to mess with 17's even though they do fit perfectly on a ZL1, but still too close for me to worry about 1". Since you are lowered but have LCA's done it "should" work on the rear. Front's will be an issue though as shown in the chart for the SS only.

Check in on some of Blazzin1's posts with these same wheels in 17. He had them on an SS and explains all the details quite well.
Here's a good one too...http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=357068

Yes Im lowered but control arms are not modded. I can easily adjust the ride height. But is sounds like going with 18s and no headache is better the performance gain when dropping down to 17s. I just need some more traction for the street.
