At 14,000 miles mine started screeching when revving. So bearings in the snout are done. Not really any marble noise. I have an appointment this week. Should I worry about the rotofab cold air intake installed on the car?

I can't tell you not to worry but my supercharger was replaced and i had the Roto-Fab, Big Gulp and WW replacement installed.

Depends on how well you know your mechanic. To be safe, put the stock air box back on before you leave it with them.

Why not just install a solid isolator? Or come to the realization that a little noise is the price of admittance?

I had mine changed out when the TSB first came out. It came with the solid isolator, and makes no noise now and even gained a little boost according to the gauge. I also had a RotoFab on at the time, and was a non issue for my dealer.

A solid isolator won't fix the bearing issue. So if you replaced the spring with a solid isolator would that affect warranty when the bearings go bad? I don't know, but I would have rather gotten the solid isolator tsb. Guess its too late for that now. Hmm, I really don't feel like putting the airbox on.

You need to look up and read the TSB, there was a section in there on replacing the isolator yourself. There was a reimbursement form with it and it does not affect warranty.

Sounds good. I will see what they do about the bearing issue then look at doing the solid isolator myself if I have to. Its in the shop now.
