Axle back Vs Cat back volume comparison?
Hey- General question I'm hoping someone can help me with...
I'm looking for a moderately loud, deep bass sounding cat-back. From the countless vids I've listened to, I settled on a Borla S-Type, as it seemed to have the sound I wanted, although perhaps a little quiet. Right before I ordered, i had the oppertunity to hear a friends Borla S AXLE-BACK system... it was nearly as quiet as stock! I questioned if it was the touring, and he is adimant it was the S. Now, his is a L99 with the AFM tuned out but with the stock pipes still on. I have an LS3, and would be purchasing the Cat-Back system. Should I expect the sound of his to be comprable to what I was going to order. it litterally stopped my order dead in its tracks. I'm now looking at Magnaflow, but I have to wait for the vert GFX system to be released... So Again, in a nutshell- my question: Is the Borla S axle back, on a tuned L99 going to be comprable in VOLUME to a Borla S cat-back on an LS3? ANyone who recognizes me knows the BS I've been through with this vert and exhausts, so please, helpful insight is greatly appreciated!

Here's my new set-up. Sorry that the quality isn't the best, but it is kind of an older camera. The type where taking pictures was the first matter of business, and videos were an after thought.
First clip is stock except for a Volant cold air intake. No tune. Second clip is with Stainless Works 1-7/8" long tube headers w/ high flow cats, 3" cat back exhaust w/ chambered mufflers. Also still have the Volant intake under the hood. Tuned after the new mods were installed. Gentle take off on a Sunday morning (my wife didn't want to piss off all the neighbors). Whether or not the videos tell the tale, I am quite happy with the growl it now possesses.
