Offset diff bushings for 1" drop?
Hey guys,
Getting ready to pull the trigger on my suspension stuff that I am wanting to do this winter while I am not driving the car much. But, I have a question..at what point do you need offset diff bushings to correct dropping the car? Mods list for the moment - Pegasus solid subframe mounts BMR Rear trailing arms BMR Toe rods BMR Rear upper control arm bushings BMR 1" lowering springs Just wondering if the 1" drop is enough to need to change out the diff bushings? Or if the stock ones will be fine? Car is mostly a street car, but I plan to occasionally take it to the track as well (hence getting the rear end stiffened up). Sounds like a lot of the NVH comes from the diff bushings, so if stock will suffice, I would like to keep it that way (for now at least) Thanks!

Not needed. Unless you want to stiffen it up, but that will be felt and heard. I have the parts you do by the way.

I didn't like the driveshaft angles myself with a 1" drop. If you can I would change the bushings. Yes, it is acceptable without the bushings change.

I road race and my drivers axle popped out at NCM. I had offset diff bushings installed (delrin) afterwards...

Follow the advise here if you are doing road courses . Street and autocross 1” in the rear or 660mm overall height max drop is fine.

Definitely not doing road courses or anything! Mostly just ripping around on the street on the rare occasions it even leaves the garage. So, sounds like I will probably leave them alone, at least for now. One of these days I planned to get an LPW cover for the diff before she gets some boost, so that may be a good time to add the offset bushings down the road.
Thanks guys!
