can it be true...a FIX????

I was so excited to experience this today, I had to start its own thread...

After a disappointing follow-up Monday with GM, I spoke with the Field Rep again regarding my BBB claim for the rub marks, I was advised the following:

1- (and a direct quote) "GM ACKNOWLEDGES THERE IS A PROBLEM"

2- There IS a permanent fix being tested NOW.

3- They are trying to special order the parts needed to apply this fix to my car asap (squeaky wheel gets the grease)

4- they WILL offer a documented, extended warranty for my top once fixed

5- All of the above will be put into a binding (on their part) arbitrary agreement authored by the BBB and my case will remain open with GM during the duration if my extended warranty

A-MEN!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the good news, Kevin. That is encouraging. I'd hope to have that in writing but perhaps you will soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and the rest of us.

Did you file a complaint with the BBB before GM actually took action to fix your problem,if so maybe that's what I should be doing with my problem.

Ok, I have now heard this enough, to believe that it is not a screw up by a rep or a dream

So, for me, this is the point where I say success All, I've wanted out of the pressure that we put on, was acknowlegement that there is a problem and responsibility to fix it.

DONE.

Now we wait for the current testing to see if they have an effective fix. Congrats Drago, and here's hoping that the fix is final.

From the info I gathered from my sources, and your info that they are getting parts for you, that would tell me that the fix is on the line for production cars and for those that have problems. Can I say Hell Yes!!

Not to rain on the parade for those getting new verts, I was told that the parts are being phased in first on the ZL1s then the rest of the cars. I was thinking of getting one as a weekend driver.
On the news of parts coming, there was one set sent to my dealership and being installed on one on the lot for fit check. This is the same as happened for the water management system last month.

Well, my info came from Jack. So who the hell knows what is going on. You would think they would get this implimented right now instead of waiting for the new model year. If it happens with my new one, TPW 3/26/12 there will be HELL to pay.

Nutt, Glass half full please. We have had enough heartache over the last year. Hopefully everything will work out. I got a new car coming. I think if I go through the same thing again I might just have a breakdown
