I need some help

Do anyone know a Certified Car Appraiser who does diminished values in Maryland. That doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

Didn't know there was such a thing. Certified by who? Carmax has 'certified' car appraisers based on a certain amount of training they've attended......and they definitely diminish the value of your car lol.

Yup..I havent got all the damage details but I do know that there was frame damage. Aleady have the car dealer standing by once I get the numbers from the insurance co, I'm sure I'm going to have to fight with them.

Damn, do many people do GAP? I always decline it, but it's so scary to think this could happen so easily. :/

I do. The bad part of GAP is if you put down a heavy deposit. I do not think you get your deposit back, just takes care of the remaining balance of the bill. I financed through pentagon federal. it comes with for free.

That is the drawback of GAP. If you put more than 20% of the total vehicle purchase price, you will never see the benefit of GAP protection. If it was free, no big deal, just no real benefit. If you put a deposit down and bought GAP, you are honestly throwing money at the bank for nothing.

Just my two cents.

You are correct! I never thought about it until I was typing this reply earlier.

Yes I do have GAP..and its been 3 days since they totalled it and still no call from the insurance co with how much they are going to give me for it. The adjustor said the call would be coming from their total loss unit..Does it normally take several day to get a number??
