B&M Trans Cooler, Still running the same temps.

Installed a B&M Cooler with fan , By Passed the stock cooler and the trans temp are still running the same, I'm using the thermostat that came with it to control the fan, it comes on at 180, Took it out on the highway and got on it for about 1/2 mile and the temp went up like it did before, between 180 and the next line on the gauge. So I'm still going to have to let it cool way down between runs, Thought this might help that.

What kind of trans temps are people with cooler getting after a run at the track?

Here's the cooler I'm using..

Running a TCI 3400 stall,

As long as your below 200 the fluid will live a long life. 180 is excellent.

use a scan tool to monitor the temps,, the factory gauges are not accurate at all

It ran at 180 before the cooler as long has I kept my foot out of it, but at the track it will go to the first make in the picture, then second run to the next mark, Once it gets to the second mark the trans starts acting funny, had it shift into 4th on me twice at that temp. was hopping the cooler would keep it around 180 after a run. Should I set the fan to run all the time?

Got an phone app I use to data log but it wont get the trans temp.. So All I have to go by is the gauge.. sure miss mechanical guages..

I can beat on mine in 100* temps and it might barely and slightly go above the 180 mark. I am running the ADM unit which does not have a fan and a 2800 yank stall. I honestly don't recall it ever getting up to that second line you posted even when it was stock. I would be concerned myself if mine was reading as high as yours. Good luck bro.
