Aftermarket grill?? Pic added
Ok the new ride is great, very impressed with the 5th gens.
No disrepect to the young lady I bought it from, she did a great job taking care of the SS, including a few tasteful mods, A nice CAI, Very nice ground effects package,(personally do not care for them but it's on and looks nice), Billy Boat Cat back which sounds great, Chrome wheels, nice, After market grill, here is where it got ugly. BTW, do I need to download my Pic's to Photo sharing site like Photo Bucket to post here? The grill is aluminum with no bars running down, just across. I do not know if it was installed incorrectly or if it just a cheap one(eBay). It looks ok from 10-12 feet but up close you notice it is not even close to being flush, much less recessed. Also the ends stick out to the point on the lower grill, that it can and has cut me while cleaning bumper! It is attached to the stock grill with "Y" shaped hooks that grab on to the stock grill & pulls it to it!? With out Pic's any of this sound familiar WC Last edited by gmhitec; 09-17-2019 at 07:18 AM. You can Edit, then 'Go Advanced' and use the Attach (Paperclip) button to upload files from your PC. Just make sure you click 'Upload' after choosing the files. No need to have them hosted elsewhere.

Sounds and kind of looks like the Phantom grill similar to the one on my red car. There where a lot of versions of it some that covered the lights like mine and the one like you have. Could also find ones where the grill was removed and replaced or just cover the original like yours. Yes they had/have cheap Ebay ones as well.

No offense to you since you didn't do it, if the young lady PO wants to take offense, she can...take that junk off, that's terrible. Stock will look way better.

Yikes! It looked ok from a distance. Yank that off and go stock or Heritage or ZL1 grille.

I will say liked the Phantom when I got it but grow tired of it. My black car has the Heritage and I really prefer it. That said I'm not a big fan of the stock grill.

Hear ya, It's coming off today. Will touch up the grill in gloss black and maybe vintage style SS emblem.

Which did you decide on? Same for the spoiler - stay or go?

Grill is gone, looks much better without it.
But she did not keep the Chevy emblem, so I have a whole to fill, anyone know of a SS emblem that will fit in that spot? As for the spoiler, it's staying. For now. WC |

You can find 'SS' and replacement bowtie badges, as well as 'blank' fillers on eBay and other online sites.
