Centrifigal s/c VS whipple
which set up is better, pros /cons, which creates more power and which will win in a race? Centrifugal sc vs whipple sc. Also is it possible to slap a whipple s/c on a STOCK Camaro and dyno 650?? <-- :-/

650 rwhp.... no.... on a ls3 cam , whipple at 9 psi, and a decent cam 650 rwhp is very achievable with a good tune

Mike, after my car is done we will find a Camaro with simular mods as me but with a whipple and we can have our own testing. That seems like the funner way to me

now way a good procharger set up will yield a 12 sec run...must be the worst tune, not working right, very low psi, bad driver, bad clutch...or he was part throttle...any procharger can easily get u low 11's...something definitely isnt right.

I ran a 12.7 in Arizona at Camaro5fest with a P1 procharger, running 6.6 psi and longtubes/catback exhaust. I didn't launch the car (just left like from a stopsign) and missed third...My car would be a low 11/high ten second car at 6.6 psi and 548 rwhp if I launched it and had some nice tires. With just a pulley taking me up to 9 psi I'd be at about 600 rwhp and possible drop another few tenths.
Prochager P1 Longtube headers 3" mandrel exhaust Pzero Nero tires (on 22's!!!!) |

How on earth can you take a car that runs in the low 12's to high 11's stock, slap on a supercharger and make it slower. Is this a Procharger Maggie comparison or showing what an incompetant installer and/ or driver, can do?
We should have a good comparison soon. Owen at ARD built a LSX 427 with a Maggie (MAD 600+), a LSX 427 with a Whipple (Dangeruss) and mine should be finished next week (LSX 427 with a F1A Procharger). We'll see what the dyno says very soon. I've already made 660RWHP @ only 5000 rpm's (using the largest pulley made for the F1)before the run was aborted so he didn't crater the stock bottom end. |
