Depends on the paint color on the ashen grey I would go with polished.
But IOM I would pick the black.
On any of them I would pick the exposed carbon fiber hood.

it is just too much black in that area that from a distance might as well be circular shapes of wood? I have always preferred polished because it sets the rim apart from the tire and the wheel well. Heck if I could still find them, I would prefer a raised White letter tire on my car!!

My first post since joining this group last week:

I prefer the polished wheels with black/darker paint. They "pop". Black is better with the white/lighter body colour.
On another note, I've learned a lot from all of you since finding this forum in January, just after ordering my 2012 ZL1. Thank you for that.

Polished, but the black is starting to look better to me, especially with black and ashen grey cars.

Depends on the entire package \ combo on the ZL1's. I chose AGM, ECF mohawk with polished wheels and the gray stripe but my second choice was inferno orange with black mohawk and black wheels with black stripe. I want a black set of ZL1 wheels for a different look once in a while too. If anyone wants to sell their original black wheels with or without the tires, PM me please.

I ordered the polished, but after seeing a few with them I like the black. They aren't really fully polished.

Polished = "Accomplished and Skillful", refined, sophisticated, elegant (generally traits of old age! LOL)

Black = UN Polished (Not old age!)

Get the polished and let the FAT TIRES, VENTED HOOD, Chin spoiler, Fog Lights, and rear spoiler do the MEAN talking. Adding "UN" polished wheels just seems a little bit too one dimensional to me. IMVHO.

oh.... I picked mine up today... the polished edges on the rims looked like shiny daggers!! Truly nice and menacing in their own way!

All look good, just a matter of taste! (i'd like a set of black wheels for those times I want to be ALL MENACING!)

You guy that don't have one yet do realize that they are not really polished. GM calls them bright not polished. That kind of fooled me. I also think it depends on what color you choose as to which one looks better.
