Is the mrt v2 that much louder at wide open throttle idle and cold start and does it make a different sound cuz on utube the stock basically sounds the same as the mrt v2
I hear the mrt has alot more bass is this true the videos on utube all sound the same to me for some reason

MRT v1.0 is loud, more ruff, and sharp...

MRT v2.0 is more deep, smooth, but still sexy..

for my taste, MRT v2.0 is the sexiest...

and the sound is very different from the ones from the stock. trust me xD

Listen to these thru some headphones or ear buds.

Here is a few videos for you.

This one is from inside my Camaro on the way to the drag strip.

This one is from inside my Camaro while at the drag strip. Sorry about the Camera tipping.

This one is one that SCRMNG filmed for me while we were at the drag strip. the last 30 seconds is me on a single pass.

This last clip is one that danrc28 put together when visiting me to her a MRT 2.0 system. He went from Toronto to Florida and back stopping along the way picking up sound bytes. The video starts off with outside rev's, then an on ramp full throttle run, then an acceleration run from inside while talking about drone. Tape finishes with me passing the camera on the highway doing 3rd gear runs. Which has not been recorded by anyone else using the MRT (or at least I am not aware of anyone with this type of recording.)

The reason I love Catman's setup is I got tired of loud, obnoxious exhaust about 30 years ago. His is only slightly louder than stock when cruising (AND NO DRONE) but sounds really mean when he gets on it. Perfect combination. Don't know exactly why some of the other MRT2/Injens don't sound the same, maybe it was the install, but his sounds really good IMHO.

To the OP, if you really feel that all the videos your watching sound the same as stock, you must be listening through tiny laptop or weak desktop speakers. Get some decent headphones or a good desktop system to listen through and you will find that the exhausts in the sticky thread all have a personality of their own.

Exactly......but there is a slight amount of drone, just not picked up on the video.

MRT's are welded but that shouldn't make a difference.

True statement. That is why I mention at the top of my post, get some good headphones or good ear buds.
