Who's ready and who isn't?

Well I was reading one of the other topics and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw some people didn't even have any credit and were planning on getting a loan for $30,000+ without a cosigner (as I understand).

I just got my credit checks done and it's good to go so I am just left to order my car.

Are you ready with a cosigner (if necessary), do you have your down payment saved up, and is your job secure?

Currently I'm all good but I'm in construction and that's changing really rapidly so I'm ordering and hoping for the best and will see where we're at when the time comes.

I have been saving since I first saw the car, I am going to pay cash unless it comes in before the next 30 days.

Still saving but I've got quite a bit already. Credit's great and my job is quite secure (I'm a cop, not going anywhere).

My credit score is in the damn chipper because of debt management I had to do recently with my old job. I have showed my dealer proof of my new income and my accountant created budget though, and based on that and the time before I actually get my car to pull my credit score back out of the high 500's and into the 700's where it was this time last year I will be fine.

If I have to be more specific to defend my reasoning I have no problem. My credit score tanked because I had a credit card where my interest jumped from like 7 percent to mid 20's before the bailout happened because they were in danger of going under. I refused to pay for it and after more than half a year of negotiations have a deal worked out with the company. The shit nearly cost my security clearance and my job, so you better believe I was going to see it through.

Just don't pull us fellow Camaro owners for speeding!!

I've been saving for awhile too. Should be close to a cash deal.

I plan to put down a little bit more then half the total price of the vehicle for a down payment.

My credit score is 750+ plus so I am o.k. in that dept.

I have more than 75% of the cash and my credit score is over 700, so I am very ready.

The worst feeling in the world would be being denied for credit after waiting for so long. Not sure how anyone is going to do a $30,000 loan nowadays but I wish all the Camaro buyers the best of luck. Let's get those Camaros bought!

Wish I was paying cash... I want this new camaro bad enough to sell my truck so I can pay off the wife's car. I have an excellent credit score and (knock on wood) a good paying job and will use my credit union if GM doesn't have a better offer. I'm ready to take the plunge.

Who needs a loan? A toy should be paid for in cash!

I wish I could pay cash, my first job was such a low ball deal I barely had room in my budget to use two ply TP. New job frees up about 1200 or more a month, so I should be just fine. Saving everything I can until I order though.

My credit score is well over 740 (it may be over 800 by now). I had 17 grand saved up 2 years ago and lightning struck my house, frying every electronic inside of it.

Its been a long road but by the time my 2SS comes out (I'm hoping late june early July), I shoudl have about 10-15k saved up, and by that time I should have my old car (2004 Pontiac GP) sold.
I'm planning on walking into the dealership with a solid 18-20k, and finacing the rest without a co-signer. I could easily finance 25k and my payments will be nothing. GOD I CAN WAIT FOR MY CAMARO!!!!
