So my dealer calls me today to give me the weekly update. Still at 1100, but I ordered a CGM anyway so I figured that was the case. But he told me he didn't know what the hold up was because the email he got from GM said 24,000 Camaros have been built up to now and that they were being built way before the posted production date. Are they messing with me to get my hopes up or what? This doesn't seem right to me. What do you all think.......I know this seems impossible so I just laughed the call off.

Maybe he looked at it wrong but he said 24,000........sometimes I wonder what some dealers are thinking

That's what I thought too......that's why I laughed it off. Guess I'll have to play with my Trans Am until I get the Camaro........but my dealer seems to only have 8 allocated for the first wave and Im number 18 so I think I have awhile to wait

Never trust the salesman, I think they make it up as they go along. I recall several years ago I had a truck ordered. After about 8 weeks I called the dealer (sales manager) on a Friday and asked when my truck would be here. He tells me its not built yet, one of my options was constrained. The following Tuesday (4 day later) he calls and said, son of gun, guess what? They just unloaded your truck off the carrier, come and get it.

Dude...8 allocations and you're number 18?!? You won't see that car for a year. If you dealer got 8 allocations, the 8th order will probably be pulled sometime in July (assuming they are as far ahead of schedule as previously stated). I nkow it sucks, but don't even begin to worry about moving from 1100 anytime this calender year.

Yeah you gota far trip before your order sees 3800, i hope this isnt a surprise for you! If it is, go find another dealer ASAP!

Seems that my dealer has no idea......now he says he has around 20 through September.......this is killing me.......was hoping the car would be here before the next military deployment. Are all the allocated cars going to be pre-orders?
