Yes you need an oil catch can. I recommend an E2 Elite Engineering catch can. You won't find one for $40 I think.

Agreed! don't waste your time and money. Spend the money on a good product that will protect your engine. The ebay ones don't have good internals compared to the better catch cans. I would at least get the basic Elite can or what Kenny said the E2 can.

One of the best preventative mods you can put on your car. Spend 100$ or more and geta good one. I've had 2 Elite Engineering cans, they're awesome.

Check the marketplace section for used catch cans.

I have the Elite and it's filtered out about 16 ounces of "gunk" in about 18,000 miles of driving. I check and empty it every 2,000 miles or so. Also clean the mesh filter.

If you don't race your car, you do not need one. An occasional spirited drive does not qualify as a need for a can. If your car is boosted and/or you track it, a can could help keep some oil out of the intake. Check the intake and see if there are oil deposits in there.

If they don't get it by now after all the catch can literature and threads, they won't ever get it! I wish I took a picture of what my intake manifold looked like before I put a catch can on my car. I installed it on my car at 9000 miles and probably just in time!

yup ;;gotta have one, and the cheap ones will work just not as good if you buy a Chinese POS to get by at first its better than nothing but needs quality rubber hoses and the connections need to be good and not leak. It is old tech.....
