When pricing came out, I thought it was right on the edge of being too high. Adding a few hundred more $$$ to the sticker would make me think GM hasn't learned their leason and that the 5th gen is doomed to suffer the same fate as the 4th gen. Sure $750-$1,000 won't sway the camaro enthusist, but it might be just enough to drive the average joe toward a mustang or chally. I thought GM wanted to sell 100K of these things a year???? Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about...... but somehow I don't think production delays and price increases are the way to do it. Yes I want the car to be right.......but from what I read today, your about out of time GM and have ZERO room for error. Let us hope this is just a rumor............
Well said, and I agree 100%. I guess I am one who will NEVER buy or order a car without a test drive...period. And since I can't drive one now, I will have to wait...and if GM jacks up the price before ANYONE can even drive it, I will go elsewhere.

Sorry, GM. I am not in the mood to get jacked by you guys. Now is not the time to be playing pricing games. If it was an introductory offer, it should have been stated CLEARLY at the outset of ordering.

Inflation means the price of things go up. It happens, accept it, and move on. For all anyone knows the price increase could be $500 for the 2011 model year.

For all anyone knows, there will be no price increase and they are just covering their legal bases just in case.

I agree with what someone said earlier... I think it's just a way to "scare" people to get them to order right away.

At least that's what I'm hoping...

When the G8 GT came out I believe it was $29,995 because it was the most powerful car under $30k and now for 2009 the G8 GT starts at $32,440 and they did not add much for MY09. In fact I think for MY09 they removed the two gauges above the radio and made it a storage area.

Prices will go up, and the discounts will follow.

You're not going to get it right from Chevy at the moment...but they gave it to us. Pricing is as follows:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8239

Your absolutely right........but this is suggesting a price increase before the car even hits the showroom!!! We are not talking model year change here. If this rumor is correct.....then the prices that were announed in November...the prices we were led to believe would be for the 2010 model year were in reality only valid for what......3-4 months????? If this is true......GM mislead alot of people. IMO.......They should have been upfront that the prices announced in November were an "Introductory Offer"........ and that pricing would increase at the start of regular production.

Then order now and avoid the (possible) increase. Bait and switch infers that it's something you are too late to do anything about. You know for a fact that you're price protected if you order now.

Where the holy hell are you guys seeing the challenger price increase? Maybe on their home page, but I am now seeing SRT8s going for 40k with rebates because not a damn person will pay over 40k...

I don't wanna hear this "look at the G8" garbage. The G8 has a much greater appeal due to the fact that it can be used in many different aspects that the camaro cannot. It can be used as a family vehicle being a 4D sedan (I have heard many of you even recommend it in this situation). However, it also offers an extra punch with decent fuel economy that the typical mom/pop sedan doesn't. A camaro is a coupe that ...IMO...has one major function and that is a pleasure/recreation and daily driver for ONE person and that is only for the driver. Much like the mustang and Challenger..if they re-price this higher then it would break my heart to see the camaro be put down again due to greed. I just don't see them doing this if they truly wish to stay competitive with the mustang.

Not without test driving the car, let alone seeing the car in person.
