TIME TO DECIDE!!!

so i been at it with many dealers trying to get an RS model and were not matching numbers so i can either wait and see maybe if the dealers will come down being the end of the month trying to make a few more sales and the increase of gas price so less demands on camaros in general OR grab a 2 LS and add halo light and buy my own rims.... decisions decisions.... BTW i do like the option of getting a rearview backup camera for the RS but not the LS (or just the an aftermarket one)

feel free to suggest what shall i do!!

IMHO, don't settle. I waited 3 years to finally get a 2lt/rs that I could afford with the options I wanted. Glad I waited instead of settling for something I wouldn't be happy with. For some it's settling for a v6 when they really want a SS. If you settle you'll kick yourself in a few months.

i really dont want the SS due to daily driving and city gas prices, so really i only want RS because of the Halo lights, Rims (could find better), Rear back up camera, and the connectivity package is a plus for me

The RS package is a great plus. For what you get, it can't really be beat.

I too suggest you take your time and get what you want. Don't compromise, you'll regret it later.

Agree.. don't settle. I've settled a few times in my life and regretted them all.

That being said, if your logic is sound for one model over the other, then it's not settling.

on another note price difference was at 23,500 for 2 LS (possibly lower i was told how much i do not know) and the RS 30,000 (couldnt get em lower ) so that i also what im working with guys hence why i feel kinda pushed to buy now

I agree with what others have said by not settling. Also you said you like the option of a rear view camera but if that is not a deal breaker then see if you can find a used 2010 or 2011 that will fit your budget. I was about to buy a V6 until I found a used V8 2 days before I was going to sign the papers at the dealer. I always wanted the V8 but it did not fit my budget that is until I found a used one. As soon as I seen it for sale online I instantly knew that was going to be my car. Also I saved myself over $4000 opting for the 2010 2SS/RS over a new 2012 2LT/RS.

Really, don't settle, unless what you want will never be in your price range... I.E. I'd like a TVR but I settle for a Camaro haha

Adding rims 'later' is very expensive in most cases, also much easier to pay for if it's added into your initial financing... I am assuming money is an issue or this thread wouldn't exist so planning on buying expensive parts "later" might be a hard thing to actually do, I know it would be for me.

All is true, I have a Synergy Green 2LS thinking about my purchase the RS package would of save me some money. So if your going to get a V6 or V8 get the RS package as it will benefit you in the long run. My fogs I got for 275 and the halos for the fogs were 119 ect... so in the end getting the RS package will save you money. So that you can mod other places. =] I dont regret my purchase, but I do understand the value of the RS package. So now I have a heritage grill, fogs and halos. Next is rims =]

my only reason behind the 2LS was the fact I can get that stuff I wanted cheaper than the difference I would have to pay between the two cars

Get what you have your mind set on, if you can afford it. A 2LS won't hold its value as well, and you'll forever second-guess your decision. I'm sure the temptation to have a new Camaro in your driveway NOW is strong, but hold off until you get exactly what you want. You're willingly spending a very large chunk of change--this is your day, and there shouldn't be any compromises. Not to insult anyone on here, but when people ask what the car is, would you rather say "It's a '2LS' that I've upgraded with RS parts" OR would you rather say "Yeah, it's a factory RS...check out these awesome wheels and headlights!"
