PLEASE NOTE!

I'm making assumptions on some of these sign ups as to driving or spectating. "I'm in +1" really doesn't tell me anything. And you know assumptions; they make an a$$ out of you and me!

So please, read the OP, then post if your are a "driver" (participating in Drag or AutoX), or a "spectator" (watching the events, car show, etc).

There are two primary objectives for the Autocross.

#1 SAFETY
#2 FUN

You will have more fun running the autocross than anything else you can do in your Camaro... I think I'll stop there. The first segment of this video is a great preview to the course you will be running at INDY.

Here are a few things you may not think are important for an autocross, but...

Sun Screen
Chairs
Hydration -- Lots of WATER
Friends
Snacks
Water
Water
Water

Classes

Stock -- That means Stock. No CAI, wheel, tire, engine, brake, suspension, exhaust modifications or tunes.

Modified -- Vehicles with tunes, moderate engine mods, suspension upgrades...

Super Modified -- You are automatically in this class with built motors, supercharger and or tires with a treadwear rating of 200 or less.

Exhibition -- Any and all vehicles owned by a company or driven by a 'shoe'

Awards

1st Place – Stock
2nd Place – Stock
3rd Place – Stock
1st Place - Modified
2nd Place – Modified
3rd Place – Modified
1st Place – Super Modified
2nd Place – Super Modified
3rd Place – Super Modified
Fastest 3 Lap Average
Fastest Time of Day
Most Cones
Most Improved

Equipment and Tech

Helmets are Required, if you don't have one try to borrow one. Snell 2005 2010 SA or M rated helmets are acceptable. Bring your own helmet or make arrangements to share one. There will be NO SCCA loaners. If you have spare helmets and are willing to share please bring it. If you have access to a batch of SCCA rental helmets please let us know!
Your Camaro must be empty. If it isn't bolted down it shouldn't be in the car.
No drivers side floor mats are allowed.
No drips or leaks are acceptable.
Your battery and every thing under the hood and in the trunk must be bolted down securely.
Your tires will have to pass the Lincoln test, unless they are slicks.

Autocross Staffing

We have NO SCCA support for the event. To make the event run smoothly we need Camaro5 member help.

Drivers MUST work the corners. If you do not support the event as a corner worker, you will NOT drive in the event.
Pedders and a few of our Dealers will staff the Autocross, but we cannot do it alone.We are asking for six (6) people to be dedicated Time Keepers / Registration, Tech Inspectors and Corner Worker Supervisors. While this is not a paid position, there will be swag from Pedders (clothing and 35% off Pedders parts), the FEST, free food and drinks. Your C5FEST III Registration is waived. There should be perks, you'll work hard for two full days. PS: These six dedicated volunteers will be treated to rides in the fastest AC cars.
I need an Autocross Administrative Assistant to track the entrants in this thread, work directly with me and the C5FESTT Staff and in general help us make sure we have everything we need to make the autocross run smoothly from equipment to paper work to standing and awards. There is EXTRA swag for this position

We will post more details as they become available. Based on the early registrations for the FEST in general we expect the autocross to be a very busy section of track. Autocross is hands down thee most fun you can have with your clothes on
