baby cam stock heads vs ported
Been running the Lingenfelter GT1 in my car for about 30k miles. Was ready for a change. Like port something for myself this time and actually install on my car change lol.
218/229-.563/.563-113 is the specs. Been running on stock springs in my LS3 just fine as expected. Mods are: Vararam Ported TB Baby cam Stock springs 1 7/8 long tubes 3" catback Dyno tune Underdrive pulley Then I added: Ported heads BTR dual springs I figure going from stock springs to duals ate up 2hp or so but they are needed for my new cam. Engine is in great shape for 95k miles.

Awesome numbers for a baby cam on stock valvetrain and bolt ons! And you picked up 15hp and 10tq at the wheels from ported heads on that small cam thats awesome and will really show its worth with a bigger cam!
What cam specs is your new cam?

go big or go home..... LOL, I would do the tsp 235/239 or the polluter etc...lol but then again....you have a tight LSA and your most likely at stockish IDLE....so your going to have to go to big boy idle and at 950 you might as well unleash the duration as you have a choke hold on it and you no doubt sound sleeper because well.... your not even like 1/2 race cam in old school terms, more like 1/4 compared to stock. Its all in what you want, I went to a cam motion stage three as pretty safe and did .650 springs way over the specs of .603/.578 with its like 223/235 duration and 114+4..... and well its not really making much power for a big baby except the engine is on its own if you read my thread on my stroker. It could have used more duration and I spec the grind a little
more .010 over but hey its safer and milder springs than the .675s i used to use and you really cannot tell much for drive ability for the wider LSA and less duration makes just a little sound difference idling. I should have talked to KIP, but he was not there and I just went to a off the shelf as I was running scared...LOL But hey it will hang with the car until I mod it up more down the road to wait around to see if vararam does come through or what... Mine is a true daily driver. You could pick up a lot of HP to get to the 500 rwhp range but torque its not going much of anywhere on a stock block from what you got with that cam.
