Just thought I'd share this, my father owns a C5 (50th anniversary) and the new camaro is starting to make him angry...because its more powerful, faster, sexier (in my opinion although that dark red is amazing!!!), and can handle (albeit not as well as a corvette but not too shabby). I get a call from him just about everyday to argue with him about which car is better and his answer is always the same, "i'll just cut ur brake lines"

or "you just wait till I take you in the turns"

...

Just a question, how do you think the new SS will do against a C5? Im not expecting much but its just good to see your opinions

The SS is going to smoke that C5....and even if it doesn't, have fun "egging on" your dad!

Tell him he should go right out and buy one so that the 2 of you can figure it out on your own!!

Yeah, he'd better hope he can drive better because unless he's got a Z0', he's going to have a tough time pulling ahead of you in the straights. Now - in the turns, he's a lot lighter, but you've got good brakes (and I'm sure his rotors are warped, as it's my understanding they're prone to do that...) and good power, so he'd just better look out

My camaro would get smoked by my Dad's C5...that's why I'll be dropping it off at the same shop that did the work on his. He's putting down about 425rwhp.
