Cam install help Austin
I'm really considering doing a cam swap on my l99. I used to be an auto tech many years ago so I have a lot of knowledge on how engines work/etc. However, I have never done a cam swap on this and was looking for someone to not entirely do the work for me but guide me to make sure I don't mess something up.
I have a garage at my apartment and I have quality hand tools but would need to get a few things, spring compressor/puller/line removal tool/etc I could pay for your time as well. If you're experienced and willing to hangout with me for a day or two let me know via a message. I know it's summer time so I'd prefer to not do it in this heat but I would like to swap soon.

There’s someone on here that posted step by step on how to do it with lots of photos . I had never done one either but was able to with that post . Only thing that went wrong was a minor oil leak at the oil pan but I’m too lazy to fix it . Here’s the link to it

I did mine years ago. L99 VVT Phaser update to...
https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showt...=385577&page=5 Starts half way down goes several pages. Includes the tools I used/needed. I also did the LSA Supercharger kit so you’ll see that mixed in. You will need a tune before you start it. Take pics before you start, keep a disassembled log as you go. Bag-n-tag as you go also. -Don
