Best Way To Remove Gm Emblem???

Hi guys I'm wanting to remove the GM emblems and I wanted your opinions on the best way to do it. I was thinking of using a hairdryer, some goo gone and a plastic spatula but I don't know if this is the best approach. Thanks for any advice on the matter!

Fishing line or dental floss....basically slice the badge off the car, then go back and use an adhesive remover and a rag to remove the left behind adhesive......don't forget to clean the car afterward (at least the spots where you used the adhesive remover)....don't let those chemicals sit on your paint.

Got them off. Tried floss but kept breaking but it did loosen it up enough for me to use a small rubber spatula to ease them the rest of the way off.

Using a few strands of dental floss works well. I start at the corner and work down while gentally pulling towards me. Heating it up a little helps to.

What's a good wax for black!

Hey, since talking about cleaning up the residue, what is the best wax to use on these new cars. I have been using McQuires Gold on my red 01 vette , but on my 2SS/RS 2010 it is all black with IO stripes with Gnd Effects so the excess that gets in the cracks dries white. Is there anything "new" that is especially good for black cars???

Try using a very soft nylon brush to get into the cracks to remove the dried excess wax (a little trick I always used...I put myself through several years of college detailing cars). I have never used a wax (real or synthetic) that didn’t leave some dried up excess in the cracks.

I like my GM emblems ....I'm a "proud GM consumer"...

My husband also ordered 2 RS badges and put them on each side of the car under the word "Camaro"...looks great to me...they are the exact same size and color as the RS badges on the front and back of my car...

No, the GM badges were slapped on cars starting a few years back as a way to try to bring the brands together, something started by Mark LaNeve. Now that they're down to four brands, I guess GM's trying to focus on brands more than the whole company now.

Advertising's probably going to transition to being more brand-focused now as well.

Well, we are lucky to have the GM badges, then...

Might be "collector's items" someday...and we will be the fortunate ones to have them on OUR Camaros...

I really can't imagine why anyone wants to take them off, IMHO ...not trying to offend anyone that removes theirs....it's a matter of personal taste, but I am very proud of my GM badges...
