Tricky Situation! Have 2 ZL1's AT 3000

Need advice please. Back in January, ordered a garnet red A10. Come Feb 9th dealer admitted lying that they didn't have an allocation and wouldn't until next DOSP. I jumped ship on him and ordered with another dealer with an allocation. Had to change the color to black due to constraint on garnet red. First dealer was mad but he lied and I had no hard feelings. Last day of Feb DOSP he somehow got my garnet red order picked up and now both my orders through 2 dealers are at 3000. Do I go with the color I want with the salesman whos customer service I did not appreciate or the new dealer who has been amazing and offered the supplier discount but I would have to settle with my 2nd choice in color??? So torn on this!

Go back to the first dealer and haggle, work in some discounts and or services. You already know the answer to your question... Get the 1st color choice.

I would tip the guy what he would have made on the car (which here in Texas is about $200.00) Thank him, shake his hand and move on to the Garnet Red. I am in a similar situation where I have a Hyper Blue A10 set to be built at the end of the month, but I really want the Garnet Red. There are only 32 available to be built making it even more rare. If I move on from the Hyper Blue I am going to shake my salesman's hand with $200 folded inside it. The dealer will move that car in a heartbeat, but he may not be the one to make the sale. No losers.

Simple answer. The first dealer lied. You were compelled to make a decision. You picked another color. Stick with your decision and tell the dealer that lied he lost your business. That's the cost of lying. Black is an amazing color. You will love it. Don't let the first dealer still win and be rewarded for lying.

My worry is I sold my black 16 2SS and I loved the color but was so damn hard to keep clean. And the fact that I got 1 of the 32 garnet red orders...

Sounds like you already know the answer to your question. Go with the tip to the second salesman and go back to the original. You may be able to use the hassle as a little leverage on price or accessories.

There will be plenty of Garnet red ZL1'S........ 32 garnet red ones is more than you think..... I doubt more than 100-200 ZL1 orders were picked up this cycle. If 32 are garnet red. That's still a high percentage.

Is color more important or the dealers integrity?

Your choice.
