I was at the grocery store yesterday and put a quart of milk back in the cooler and instead am saving that money toward the inevitable engine replacement in the near future

So this weekend I:

Added two bottles of Seafoam and filled the tank
Changed out my plugs

Idle smoothed out a bit after driving 150 or so miles after the work was done. Tomorrow I'm having the transmission serviced.

Thanks again for everyone's tips. They're being implemented...

I don't think the Seafoam will be enough to remove those hard crystaline deposits from the valves. Also, using a cleaner like Seafoam can loosen some of lighter deposits which can get caught in the piston rings which can score the cylinder walls.

If I were you, I would the get the manual upper induction cleaning done on it if you never had a catch can. After you get the valves cleaned, then install a good catch can if you don't have one already.

Thanks for this.
I now have the following done:

X plugs
X trans fluid and filter changed (not flush)
X rear diff fluid change
coolant flush
X fuel system flush
brake and power steering fluid flushes

I'll be moving on to brake fluid flush next.
