2014 Horn Honk for Lock Confirmation -- why is it so quiet!?
Is it just my car or is the 2014 Camaro horn honk when you lock the car extremely quiet? On my 2012 it used to be loud, you KNEW you locked the car. With my 2014, I have to do it a few times because it's so quiet it's very easy to miss. I compared with a 2012 car in a parking lot and the 2012's horn echoed and mine was a faint chirp.
Can anyone confirm theirs is noticeably quiet compared to previous years? Maybe one of my horns is unplugged?

I like the idea of the quiet chirp. I just moved into an apartment complex with the garage under all of the units. I always feel bad when I get home late at night and the horn honks really loud. I mean, I'm not going to stop arming the alarm, but I still feel a little guilty.

The horns are plenty loud when you lay on them. It's the little half second chirps that are not good. Even the panic button has the short beeps rather than blasting the horns.

That's another good point - I hit the panic button and no one even looked at the car it was so quiet. It wouldn't get anyone's attention.

I've noticed just the opposite. My 2012 2LS had a very quiet horn while my 2014 2SS/RS has an extremely loud honk when I lock the car using the remote.

I have noticed that mine varies... sometimes it is quiet, and then sometimes it gets progressively louder... I only noticed that because i like to push the lock button and make it honk like 5 times. Sometimes it sounds weak, other times not so much.

I have to hit the locks twice on the remote to get a horn sound.. I prefer to trust the first time worked, so rarely hear the horn.
