Zslash28 is correct, there were only 69 saleable preproduction vehicles built in the 2014 model year. There were 50 of the 69 built with a/c. In the 2015 model year there were only 4 Z/28's saleable preproduction vehicles.

While reviewing the Regular Production Options from GM Global Connect on my newly acquired CTF AGM 2014 Z/28 # 66, I came across some interesting RPO build codes for pre production aside from the different VIN #
RPO Code BOR - VEHICLE GM PRODUCTION WEEK 34
RPO Code E2C - ORDER TO DELIVERY -EXPEDITE
RPO Code OAR - ID PRE PRODUCTION

I would suspect they were trailer queens taken to the GM performance displays across the country.

What he said! Keep in mind, cars like the display cars at auto shows/Sema cars...some never see the road. They just make the rounds at different media events and such.

#36 car no longer shows up on dealer site. It was white, ac, radio. It was for sale at a dealer in Dickinson, TN. Guess they sold it.
