GM Strut Bar Question.....

So, I put one on my '12 and am wanting to check here to make sure the hood doesn't slam it when shut. I laid the hood down, and it does leave a slight imprint in the insulation. Those of you who have put one of these on, will the hood shut completely without interference or damage? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but just curious since I haven't seen the underside of the convertible hood. Didn't know if anything was different.

Thanks guys! I know that this must have sounded like a silly question, but like stated, I wasn't sure if the vert had less insulation, etc.

not that heavy at all, it's all aluminum. extruded hollow center bar with cast ends, welded together.

So these will just bolt-in to all 2011 coupes? I know the '10 isn't threaded for them but are all of the '11?

I dont know about all 2011's, but if the strut tower has the holes, they will bolt in.

The early 11's do not have the threaded holes. I should know as my 2011 is a June 8, 2010 production date. I am also waiting until 1 vendor decides to approve the design of a retrofit for those that do not have the predrilled holes.
