Trunk "Rain Gutter"

I opened my trunk after some rain and noticed the water gliding off and into lip around trunk opening. When no water came off onto resr bumper, I noticed channels at bottom of supports and saw the water run down onto the ground! IMO , pretty wild....

not a new thing... I know the C5 and C6 also have this. Rain drains into the trunk area then out in the area that is real light. Sorry for the bad pic. i was trying my new cell phone. not too good with the lighting. The light area is actually dirt...

Wow, nice job noticing that. Pretty cool, I'm sure it's not too new.

I have seen 2 tube holes too.

BTW Check those every once in a while. If drains get clogged then Rust has a buffet.

I have seen it eat the whole side of cars from clogged tubes.

Glad to hear this.Details such as these are very important,if not so glamorous. We had a '95 Buick Park Ave. Ultra that channeled the water into the tail light housing which then overflowed into the trunk.I found this out when I had a flat and got the spare out of the water filled compartment.I was amazed at how much water was in there and started to look for the problem. There was no problem, just a very poorly designed drain system.Just one of the many issues with that car. When I think about it,I can't believe I'm still a GM guy after owning that poor excuse for a car.
