It only made 414 tq when I installed the cam.... see the first graph. I did ask my tuner why it was low. He said its consistent with the other 1le's they have done with stage 3 or 4 cams.... because of the m6 and 3.91's.

Yea it’s hrd to compare the two being manual vs auto and different Dynos. Just trying to give some sort of comparisons. Think for everyone on fence for rod mod need to determine how they plan to use the car and if giving up low end tq for high end hp is worth it

The rod mod seems to give a slight bump to both curves. But so do the lsxr and lod. The lsxr and lod have larger gains than a stock ported. Biggest difference between the LOD and LSXR is rpm range. Looks like the lsxr tops out around 6900 or so versus 7k plus on the lod

I guess it comes down to application and price. That's why I'm leaning towards the lsxr.. it's $600 cheaper. But this lod seems exciting

If my car was a dd or a street only car I’d have stuck with port/rod mod. My car sees maybe 1500miles a year but I track it so different intake suited me better. I ever go back to street car I’ll put rod mod sticker back on

I have a 1LE with 3.91 gears and put down 444 tq so I don't really think it makes too much differerece.

LOL, the bottom line is that with a short runner intake you shift the tq curve to the right, you have to ask yourself if thats what you want.

I’ve been wondering how much hotter these aluminum intakes run.
I know when I used to drag race, we had to ice the aluminum intakes.

No hot oil splashing on the bottom of these like back in the day... mine is never hot to the touch.
