Lol

And I would like to add that in the 40's, you are also getting into bmw 335i and infiniti g37, which are more capable handlers. But as for straight line acceleration, the srt8 does that better than all of its currently produced rwd sedan counterparts (in that price range)

the Charger has proven to be a capable handler. And you might find a 335i in the 40k section but the 335 is not even in the same class, that car is too small.G37 is a bit small too. A car closer to the Chargers size is the 5 series.

Actually, in the only head to head comparison the 2 were nearly identical, with the GXP being ever slightly quicker, the SRT8 stopping ever so slightly better, the handling numbers being basically identical, GXP having a little more interior room, the Charger having the better interior design, quality, ergonomics and more features so basically G8 CXP = SRT8

the biggest difference being Dodge still exists....
however i believe the head to head competition was between the G8 GT and the R/t charger.

now that the D3 have all their pony cars out i await the day for Ford, and Chevy to come out with 4 door RWD sedans.

Muscle alone does not equal beast in my eyes. The iconic muscle car has a specific look, and when they were all created there were little to no 'muscle cars' that had 4 doors.

Call me old-fashioned, but those other two doors are just wasted space.

To help make my point; try picturing a 4-door Ferrari....Viper....Aston Martin...Lamborghini..... see my point now?

A muscle car should be exactly how Martin Lawrence describes Will Smith's Porche in "Bad Boys" -- "Just a shiny d!ck with two chairs in it. I guess we da' balls, just draggin' the f**k along!"
Dude, you do realize a huge number of those musclecars were not only coupes, but also offered as sedans and even wagons? Take the 70 Chevelle, easily one of my most favorite musclecars of all time! It was not only a coupe, but also a sedan AND even a wagon ( I would definatly pimp a Chevelle Wagon!). The same with the Malibu, Nova, Dodge Coronet plymouth Belvidere (2 cars is the same family as the Charger, Roadrunner, and GTX), As for everything else you have been spouting, i am not getting into it because it shows a true lack of knowledge on the subject{s} at hand.

This one was done by Road and Track, both MT and C&D did G8GT vs Charger R/T, but both were against the 08 Charger when it didn't get the redesigned hemi until 09. I guess they knew Pontiac was dead and didn't see a reason to do a rematch though.
