I've liked the SRT8 Jeep since it came out... Very nice.. This one looks to be even more tempting.

I don't think you can go wrong with either vehicle. The SRT8 Jeep will be much more rare. Which I think is a plus,, I like the fact that only car enthusiasts know to gawk over it, as opposed to the new Camaro (which is awesome too) but everyone with a pulse knows its performance abilities.

Just didn't want him to be under a false impression.

If his first priority was handling.. I can't imagine the Camaro would be anywhere near the top of his list.

The Camaro's handling limits are respectable, but the only real downside seems to be the "feel", which is subjective to a point. The Camaro has shown it can hang with fantastic handlers like the Subaru STi, Evolution X, etc. in multiple road courses.

Given this car's segment it's the 2nd best handling wise.

Take a brick, place it in a kid pool with a water hose pointing at the face of it and you are looking at where this is going. Coefficient for automobiles is measured at typical highway speeds.

BTW - .38 is the correct number for the Jeep.

It is respectable for sure, especially for being nearly 4,000lbs.... but if you wanted a car with great handling, would you be looking at 4000lb muscle cars?

The GC SRT8 is a beast, and if it gets the 6.4L at 500 HP..then it is going to be a really pissed off beast.

I know this is about the SRT8 but are there any updates about the little diesel that might be going into the Cherokee?

aesthetically, I think they screwed up with the new jeep grill....it reminds me of the buick rendevous or whatever their little suv is...kind ugly to me. I like the original srt8 jeep looks. And even then, the current srt8 jeep gets about 16mpg on the highway....damn that sucks! Seems a bit eccessive for a factory vehicle with the same engine that I'm seeing 25mpg on the highway. But with the weight increase, they are geared a bit lower to help it move off the line better, and it really affects the mpg's badly. Get a used one, have the motor freshened up into a 426/440 cu in. monster And hate your mpgs! but a very nice little suv for sure.

I'm wondering if it is still a "go" more-so than who is making it?
