sound reduction

Just got back from a Pro Solo event in Fontana. Got busted for exceeding sound levels. 102.4 DB limit is 100. I was hitting the rev limiter at the end of the course and that is where the mic was. So in combo with tying the valve shut in the tailpipe, I shifted prior to coming across the finish line. I was 90 DB. My 2015 ZL1 has Kooks headers, no cats and oem mufflers. Apparently those that run into this issue often, make a "burrito" out of chicken wire and stuff it in the end of the muffler, good for 3-5 DB. I also saw a RX8 with its exhaust turned up in the air to reduce the levels I guess. Anyone have any experience with this, and what you did to solve it?

Try this from magnaflow. Jegs carries them.
magnaflow 11386
I just put it on my car because it was a little loud with headers and no cats. Got a ticket for sound so I had to tone it down. At least i still have my cutouts in so I can make it as loud as I want.

No I didn't replace the mufflers. I added it where the s-bends of the exhaust pipes come together to go down the center tunnel of the car. it is basically right behind where the transmission ends. I should have took a picture of it when I had it on the lift.
