2012 Camaro 1SS, Does it come with RS package?

Hi

Im about to buy a 2012 Camaro SS (1SS with cloth seats) but the car does have the HID headlights and red badges from the RS Package.

I thought the RS package only came on 2SS? Is this true? Did the 1SS came with RS package as well?

I will appreciate your help..

Thanks

It can have the RS package. The RS package isn't specific to the 2SS.

V6s could also have the RS package, it's not an SS only thing.

If the car your looking at has red SS emblems it has the RS package, otherwise the SS emblems are white.

My car is a 2SS/RS, but I changed out the red SS emblems for larger white ones to match the rallye stripes, so people can change them. Definitive answer is check the data tag under the carpet in the truck for the code “WRS”.

RS could be ordered independent of SS level.

For example I have a 2010 2SS without RS, which I ordered so I could have independently functioning fog lights.

All the above are correct; if you want to be 100% sure if you have the RS package or not, look at the RPO tag in the trunk. It will be under the 'carpet' on the left hand side of the trunk; the code is WRS.

Is there an echo in here?

But seriously. Question asked. Answered correctly on 2nd post. But I'm willing to bet this thread goes to at least 25 posts, lol.

So just out of curiosity, does your ‘10 2SS/non-RS have fog lights and a fog light button on your light switch like my ‘14 2LT/RS has? I started a thread about my test drive of a ‘12 2SS/RS (see link below) where I discovered that what I always thought were fog lights on the pre-facelifted cars were actually daytime running lights - after spending several minutes searching for a fog light button - LOL. Does the ZL-1 have this same problem or does it have a foglight button? It looks like it has two sets of fog lights below the headlights but I think the top set are daytime running lights and the bottom set are fog lights???

Yes, my 2010 SS was non-RS and had a fog light switch. IIRC it was built into the light switch. Also yes on the the ZL1 setup.

The RS option was available on all trim levels except LS.
