My accessory outlet (cigarette lighter) stopped working...

I was attempting to vaccuum my car using a power inverter to run a hand vac meant for A/C power and it popped my fuse.

I couldn't seem to find where the fuse was located. It wasn't in the fusebox located in the engine compartment and I could not find an access panel anywhere along the dash or tucked up underneath it somewhere.

Then I saw the DIY ambient lighting thread with this pic:

The two yellow 20 amp fuses located between the big gray relays are fuses 17 and 18 and belong to the two Accessory outlets on the center console. You have to pull off the panel on the left side of the dash and you will see it there.

This would be a great place to find a source for a switched power source. - Thanks for sharing.

Both my acessary devices have died too but the thread pic doesn't show up. "I saw the DIY ambient lighting thread with this pic:" Anyone have it. It's a 2015 ZL1.

2 yellow fuses near the top are the 2 accessory power ports.
this is on the drivers side.
Open your drivers door and the side panel of the dash pops off.

Thanks GVA 45th 2SS and after testing the fuses they are still good. All fuses under hood and side dash panel but still no power to either accessory outlet. Still a mystery.

The relay above the power outlet fuses is for the retained accessory power (RAP) and controls the power to the fuses.
In the image posted above it has been replaced with a wire so the power outlets are always on.
If the relay has failed the power outlets may not have any power. You could test with a jumper as shown in the fuse box image.

I have a jumper fuse I found that fell out but I didn't know where it went normally since I didn't install it. See attached. It has 20amp fuse on one end of red wire and just a single prong at other end. How and where to install the single prong since the fuse probably plugs in where the one in the picture goes.

That is a jumper to replace the RAP relay I mentioned above. So the power points are always powered.
I have no idea why anyone would use a fuse for that.
I made this from a piece of 12 gauge:

Here is what it looks like with the relay installed:

Thanks CamaroFred and GVA 45th 2SS. After reviewing your post I figured it out. I moved the 20amp fuse up into the spare spot beside the red 10 amp fuse. Both accessory outlets are hot all the time again. Thanks a lot. Really appreciate the help.
