Stabilitrak P0302 & P0202

With these codes is compression test the correct check?

Have new plugs and wire. Two weeks later brought 1st gear up to 5000 rpm. Next day car ran rough with stabilitrak and code 0300. Cleared code then new code p0302 came back. Day or two later code and light were gone, car runs good. I week later engine runs rough again with codes p0202 and p0302.

1st shop not sure if can fix. 2nd shop wants compression test.
If cannot fix, only mustang in stock. No SS in stock here in Honolulu. Corvette friends will not be happy with mustang.

Thanks in advance.

A compression test isn’t abnormal. I have to assume you (or the shop) has checked all coil and injector connections and verified none are bad. Plus checked all spark plugs too.

I don't know that I think it's really time for a compression check although simple enough to do that it won't hurt. Compression issue isn't likely to be come and go. And P0202 appears to be injector code. Time to start moving parts around to see if the issue follows. And if the p0202 is still active, maybe follow the service manual procedure to diagnose.

Disconnect cylinder #2 injector connector and ohm the injector, It should be 11-14 ohms, If not replace the injector. Also check for voltage with the key on engine off on the PK/BK wire. I'm assuming your car is an SS
