Us either, we just watched the slide show/video and can't wait to hear more! Who has reservations where? Where was that slide show at, the Rio Vista? Do you have any links to the motels?
We used to make a trip over that pass at least once every summer - we made it across last summer over Labor Day weekend, really looking forward to it now with you guys!

My work schedule does not look good for that weekend, But you never know. It would be a last minute decision. We would like to go weather permitting.

We stayed here. We will reserve a room again as the rates are reasonable.

We ate dinner here. Dining is pricey at Sun Mountain but, worth it. Part of the slide show was done here as well.

Here are some pics of the Rio from when my dad and I went back over to Winthrop a few weeks after the Camaro cruise on May1st last year. Nothing fancy but, clean rooms and the river at your back door.

Yes, that was the Rio Vista. I use Google Maps and just put in Hotels in the search while zoomed into the Winthrop area, and it shows the places you can stay. I'll provide a list soon as well, though I think I provided one last year as well...so I just need to find the post and copy that information.

I will likely be staying at the Rio Vista as well.

I would recommend getting reservations early if you want to stay overnight because the weekend of the 7th-8th is when Winthrop is hosting some 49er event that lots of people go to.

OK sounds good - reservations at the Rio Vista for the night of May 7 works for us. This will be our first "group outing" with other Camaro owners.

I have just placed my reservation for my room at the Hotel Rio Vista. I'm on the top floor. It's cool because the guy at the desk who took my reservation remembered us from last year (no discount though, yet). If you mention that you're with Camaro5, he might try to keep our rooms close together.

He did say that the closer it gets to the May 7th weekend, the more likely he will require a 2 day minimum stay length...so if you know you're going, you might want to get your reservation in soon!

Just made the reservation at the rio as well. They are looking forward having us again. Looking forward to this trip even though it is still a ways away. Room is $125 a night by the way.

We will need to scout this place out for next year while we are there.

A colleague told me about Freestone right after I made the reservations at Rio Vista. Looks interesting.
