Lap Timer
I read the owners manual and didn't find any information on how to operate/use the track timer.
Is it automatic (using OnStar) or manual? Thanks Craig

Manual. All operated from the turn-signal stalk. Go to the performance menu, use the rotating knob to go to the lap timer, use the button on the end of the stalk to start/stop the lap timer. Play with it a bit and its a piece of cake.

Yes I figured that out.
My question was is it a automatic timer using GPS or OnStar or manual having to push the button every time you cross the start/finish line.

I'd rather use a transponder or GPS based timer than mess with a timer like that. I'm not focused on my dash or even HUD when I'm going 130mph.

Used it on my vette, meh, nothing to write home about. Now the 0-60 timer using PTM and launch control, that puts a smile on your face and gets the competitive juices flowing quickly.

There are several free lap timer apps out there for phones. Just mount your phone and the GPS does the rest. Accurate to the thousandth too.

Harry's Laptimer. GPS OBD buddy is free. If you go to some track weekends Laptimer is great.

I've used trackaddict in the past and linked it to a cheap OBD adapter off Amazon to gather additional data.
