Have a pretty nasty sounding noise after the install up near the cats. Might have to drop them and make sure the gaskets sealed OK. Really don't want to do that all over again!

Its a low RPM noise/rattle when you let off the throttle. Haven't had anyone around to rev it up while I listen from underneath yet though.

Hopefully something simple!

Having just installed the Solo cats on jack stands I know that tightening and lining up everything isn't easy. Although I don't believe that I have leaks at the manifolds the check engine light did come on. Codes P2099 and P2097. o2 extensions could be loose....

Everything is sealed up fine, but still a nasty rattle and getting worse. It's at the point where it's embarrassing to drive.

Pretty sure it's the baffles inside the muffler itself. Had a friend rev it up while i looked around underneath and definitely coming from that area, but pretty hard to isolate with all the echoing under the car.

It's definitely not the NPP flaps. I stuck a dowel against them and the rattle was still there.

Lots of Corvette owners have this problem and some have taken apart their mufflers to find all sorts of cracks on the inside.

I'm going to take the exhaust down so I can more closely inspect the heat shields in the tunnel. Might end up cutting an inspection hole in the mufflers to look for cracks. Will keep everyone posted.

Cut an inspection hole in the muffler, and nothing. All looks fine inside.

It's really annoying. I've even seen some youtube videos of corsa exhausts making the same noise. Its just when you let off the gas at low RMP's

I hope it's not just the nature of the high flow cats.

Took my car to a local speed shop to have them check out the noise. Said it was normal for the LS engines.

I'll be putting the stock cats back on. Pretty disappointed.

That sucks! I've never heard of anyone having this issue before.
