Need more info....can't imagine you're referring to a bouncy feeling, unless your rear shocks are shot. I've always found the rear to feel planted as hell, before and after the CO swap.

Was waitin for other peeps to chime in...here is my q...did you do ANY rear suspension work recently? If so peeps forget about the need to "TIME" the rear suspension bolts....ie the car needs to be put back together and then on flat level surface with all 4 tires on the ground, ramps wat ever...the rear bolts need to be slightly loosened(all at the same time!) so the suspension can "settle". Then re-tighten to spec...

Found this out the hard way when replacing the front bearings on a Volvo XC-90...the front end danced all over and when braking would try to dart to the right...all I did was the above(on the front end tho) and prob SOLVED! And this was after I had it re-aligned...good luck...

Are you talking about it getting slippery when you're tearing ass?

It's very difficult for me to break it loose on new Eagle F1s, but when they start to wear, they can get slippery in bone-dry weather just turning corners.

Sometimes, when accelerating on the feeder so as not to pull a "frogger", you can feel torque hop in the rear end from tire to tire, back and forth. Then it settles when you get into a sane gear.

Is that what you're talking about? Again - slick tires in the rear means you need new tires.

Everyone here is just stabbing at the wind. We need some more details other than "floating". Last time I checked, and that was a few minutes ago, my car is still firmly on the ground and I haven't tied it down. It's been called a dirigible before, so maybe I just haven't seen the floating yet.

I put on a new set of MPSS tires on the rears only, and I had a "floating" rear end feeling too. :-)
