Ditto on the clear bra. I had a 2005 Cobalt before the Camaro and the rock chips on the front bumper were pretty bad. When I traded the Cobalt for the Camaro, I had clear bra installed within 300 miles of purchase. Only wish I'd done the gill area too. I do a majority of hwy driving and it's like driving through a sandblaster, apparently. Once it's paid off (not to long now!) I'm planning a paint job and clear bra on all the important bits that I can see now really do need that clear treatment.

What did you do to keep your clear bra from looking cloudy? All that I have seen took on a cloudy look, almost like when the clear starts to separate from the paint on some cars, after not all that long.

That's about my only option lol I have 2 options really.

1) $500 to have front end look brand new and then $500+ for the clear bra.

2) Do what you did

not if it is installed properly. Mine has been on the car since 2009, still looks the same. I had 25 miles on the car when installed, now it has 35K miles. I treat it the same as the paint. It gets washed the same, polished and waxed the same.

Man I have so many rock chips all over the front end of my camaro its not even funny. Mind you I have over 70k km's on it now cause I drive it. I even have chips on the rear quarter panels now. It's ridiculous here. This summer I'm getting the front bumper re-sprayed and the clear film installed.

I like your thinking! Im going to wait until my spring semester is over and just having it resprayed with the clear bra installed. I have to recoupe some Christmas funds lol The wife has 5 younger siblings so it was expensive lol

I installed clear vinyl (aka "bra") material over about 90 percent of the front surfaces of the car. It's not perfect but was a lot cheaper than the $900 quoted to have one installed. I think I hAve maybe $40 in material. Was a big pain in the butt to install but so far the front seems to be holding up okay. Most people don't even know it's there.

clear bra OVER EXISTING DINGS will look like crap!!! Not ready to repaint my brand new car! I also did not want to put the LeBra on but need to cover existing damage until I can afford new paint with a ghost stripe.......... added extra is that the bra seems to slow down the rocks and it may be a coincidence but have not caught a rock in the windshield since I put it on! 12K miles and 3 windshields....yes fugly but phunctional !!!!

I would at least get some rock/splashguards for the front tires now, to protect your doors/rear panels. Best $40 I spent.
