How much ADM will you pay?
Just curious how much of a dealer mark up you'd be willing to pay? (if any)

Precisely 0.
I'm patient, 6 months or so after the first ones hit the showroom the hub-bub will be over and reality will set in. |

What are you talking about. by the time I'm finished negotiating with the dealer, they will be begging me to take it with all kinds of made up dealer discounts and zero financing.
above MSRP, have you lost your ever-loving mind? this forum has gone crazy I think. |

I'd never pay dealer mark up. Feels like extortion. I was shopping my 2013 ZL1 vs a 2013 GT500. Ford dealer wanted $5000 over sticker. Not a chance. I said I'd never pay over sticker. They came back willing to sell at MSRP. Too late. Chevy went $2000 under MSRP to sell my ZL1. Overall, saved myself $12,000!!!
I'm not even sure I could stomach paying MSRP when you lose 10-15% as soon as you drive away.

Tell me one good reason why the car should cost more than it really costs? I say this because every product made in this country cost a certain amount to bring to market. Obviously those costs are brought forward to the consumer whether you are growing vegetables or producing an iPhone. The manufacturer has a suggested MSRP. Just ask the dealer why is your car worth $5000 more than another car at a different dealership. There is no good answer for that except, We are charging more because we have what you want and we want to exploit that possession. When nobody pays over MSRP the stranglehold goes away. I truly hope no one does this. It makes it worse for all.

Zero, if a dealer thinks that a ZL1 is something special that requires a markup, they are idiots. Its only a Camaro at the end of the day.

It could be any car. There's profit built in at MSRP already. It reminds me so much of eBay. People see a good price on something and they all continually bid on it with a week left in the auction to the point where it's already too expensive before the auction nears closing. Now everyone is left outbidding one another and paying way more than necessary. Sometimes we create our own problems.
