Another v6 to v8 thread (a little different this time) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

This past Thursday I picked up a 2010 Camaro SS! I have been wanting to upgrade for awhile. Unfortunately it was paid for with an insurance check because I totalled my 2011 Camaro LS. I wish I could have traded it in and that way someone else could have enjoyed it as much as I had. But it did its job in protecting me which is one of the reasons I wanted to get another Camaro knowing how safe they are (not that I plan on being the cause of the accident, I learned my lesson, but if I were to be involved in one I know the car will get me thru it).

Now back to the good stuff. I knew I wanted an SS this time and it had to have the RS package as well, 1SS or 2SS didnt matter to me. Although my new Camaro I thought was a 2SS since it has leather but according to the VIN it is a 1SS which does not bother me at all. Previous owner could have had it installed. But it is an early production with the chicklets and GM Performance Division badge under hood and last seven of the VIN are 107865 so it could be an oddity, but probably not. Its got Flowmasters already which I love, not to loud at cruising speeds but perfect under acceleration. And those headlights! I was kicking myself last night time for stepping up and getting the RS package at least.

To sum things up I lost my permagrin when my previous Camaro sacrificed itself to save me but it was restored by the arrival of my new Camaro SS.

Heres a pic to start. Havent had a chance to wash it yet, but if the sun peaks out long enough I will wash it and get some more on here.

Very nice! And don't trust Chevrolet's VIN lookup system. It claims my car is a 2LT with the 6.2L LS3 engine.

It's a 1SS... haha. I'm sure your's is the 2SS if the leather looks factory.
