But, but, the internet and social media is ‘truth’!

If someone with a V40 asked if pulling a spark plug wire would make it sound more aggressive, he’d be getting the same treatment. Sometimes ya gotta think things through before ya put it out there for public consumption.

If your kid asked you how to modify something on his car and you gave him that answer as a joke but he did it, that would be a fault on both parties. Someone going on a forum or other such place for help and then getting treated like an idiot is pretty lousy. Maybe they're going to the internet because interest in vehicles skipped a generation or something.

It takes 0 time and effort to not be a dick on the internet. Maybe that makes me some kind of "white knight" or whatever other kind of SJW term is floating around. Like...just offer help and move on. OP's 27 (profile) and asking a question like this. That's indicative of something.

I only pull a plug or two to calm her down a bit every so often.

Since you went there....

First thing....my kids aren’t that fuçking stupid. second, when you break a common sense rule, (in this case shatter it), you’re going to catch shît for it. And third, when people come up with stuff that’s batshït crazy like deleting a plug on an engine to make it sound better, it takes zero effort to be a dick on the internet and anywhere else. Trust me...I’ve done it.

PS.. I’d like to add...In a funny, good natured roundabout way...by post number 7 (At least) the OP should have realized it’s a bad and stupid idea. He should have leaned into it and had some fun instead of lawyering up with you.

Our engine would continually try and fix the "problem" of not having that cylinder, and the car would sound like crap. I don't believe it would be driveable without VVT.

I say their claims are BS

If I take out all the spark plugs, it kinda sounds like a mustang I used to have.

some of us old guys bought 6s too.if you are old enough to remember the 1960s musclecars the 6 is probably more powerful than many small block V8s were back then.it is a shame somebody spread that false info to somebody who didnt know any better though.
