It's been fun...but I had to cancel my order...

I hate to say it...but I had some things out of my control come up and with the economy as bad as it is...I had to cancel my order...I was devistated..but I did get me something new...it won't replace the Camaro...but it's very nice to me...I helped out GM and got me a 2008 Silverado LTZ Z71 Extended Cab....I just want to thank all of ya'll...being on Camaro5 has been fun..and I will stick around to see the updates and all the pics of when people get there car...here is a few pics of the truck that I ended up with...

Nice Silverado, I really like the new ones. Sorry you had to give up the Camaro to get one. I would have to give up the Camaro also to get a Silverado.

I'm sorry to hear you had to cancel your order, but you made a smart decision, 2 in fact!

1. You still bought a GM vehicle.
2. You bought the vehicle you need at the moment.

Hopefully GM will get back on track, and when it does, I'm sure you'll still be able to go back and place an order for your Camaro when the timing is right.

Congrats on the Silverado.

Sometimes you have to be practical, at least you stuck with a Chevy!

Nice truck. I love the interior of the new ones. My 04 GMC is fortunately low milage, has quadrasteer, and is paid for. So I can go for the Camaro without having to give up the truck for the winter use and for towing/hauling.

It makes me wonder why I'm not going with a vette...except that I think the Camaro will be easier to climb in and out of being that I'm mid 50's with knee surguries and back damages. I love my CTS in that respect and hope the Camaro will be close to it for what I need.

Thats why the CTS-V is so tempting. But the $$$$$ whoa! Its still on the table, but not much chance of pulling it off financially. If the Camaro does'nt happen and the Vette prices spike I would be forced to go that way I guess. Lets hope we will get the Camaros we want.
